Liz Mathis
Executive Director - Hiawatha Economic Development Corporation (HEDCO)
Liz brings years of experience working on business growth and workforce development to her role as HEDCO's Executive Director. She is a former journalist, past McElroy Chair of Wartburg College's Communication Arts Dept., retired non-profit leader and served 11 years as a state senator from Linn County.
Liz was a legislative liaison for the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) and was involved in an array of economic development policy. She served on Wartburg's Board of Regents for 18 years and is a former bank board director.
Liz lives in Hiawatha and is committed to her community.
